    Recognition tuned for Serbian, in Latin or Cyrillic, with every word timed to the moment it's spoken. Numbers come out the way captions write them: “dvesta pedeset konja” becomes 250KS.

    14 templates, from Hormozi and Karaoke fill to Word pill and Neon glow, or your own design down to font, outline, shadow and animation. Highlight the spoken word and make key words like numbers and brands pop.

System requirements and installation

macOS

  • Mac with Apple Silicon (M1 or newer)
  • macOS 14 Sonoma or newer
  • 8 GB of memory, 16 GB recommended
  • About 6 GB of free disk space

First install

  1. Unzip the download and drag CapMux into Applications.
  2. CapMux isn't notarized by Apple, so macOS may say it “is damaged and can't be opened”. It isn't: open Terminal and run this once:
xattr -cr /Applications/CapMux.app

The command only removes the “downloaded from the internet” flag; the app's signature stays valid. After that, CapMux opens normally.

Windows

  • Windows 10 22H2 or Windows 11, 64-bit (x64)
  • Processor with AVX2 (Intel 8th gen / AMD Ryzen 2000 or newer)
  • 8 GB of memory, 16 GB recommended
  • About 8 GB of free disk space
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX recommended for fast recognition and export; without it CapMux uses the processor

First install

  1. Run CapMux-…-setup.exe. No administrator rights are needed.
  2. The installer isn't code-signed yet, so Windows may show “Windows protected your PC”. Click More info, then Run anyway. Only the first install asks.
  3. Start CapMux from the Start menu.

Internet is needed for the first transcription and the first use of each language, to download the speech models (a few GB). After that CapMux works offline.

Updates happen inside the app. CapMux checks for a new version when it starts. On Windows it downloads and installs it for you; on a Mac it downloads the new version. Your projects, settings and licence stay.

Licence: one computer, one key

Download CapMux and try everything: recognition, editing, design and preview. To export (SRT files, videos with captions, New sentence) you need a licence key for your computer. There is no trial period.

  1. Click Export. CapMux shows your computer's ID, for example DAEQ-QJKN-2DMK-EJHE.

  2. Send it to license@capmux.app. The app's Write an email button fills it in for you.

  3. You get a key (CAPMUX-…) for one month, several months or a lifetime. Paste it and export.

  • The key is checked offline: no account and no internet needed.
  • An activated licence survives every update.
  • New computer? Write to us and your key can usually be moved.
  • Everything you make with CapMux is yours, including for commercial use.
